Restored to its original condition with some minor wear due to its age. Rewired.
Paavo Tynell's ceiling lamp model 1965 is one of his most popular designs and has been manufactured with and without counter balance function. The model and it's variations became a bestseller in the US and for example notable interior designer Alexander Girard used the same model in several of his interior designs during 1940-50s.

Paavo Tynell (1890-1973) "The Man Who Illuminated Finland" was a Finnish industrial designer with a specialty in lighting design. He was also co-founder of the art metal work and lighting company Oy Taito Ab and had a successful career as a freelance designer for various companies and architects such as Alvar Aalto and Aarne Ervi. ~
